Dear Lacqueristas,
I felt like my blog was a liiiiiitlle too happy! I saw too many colors and frazzles. I simplified it and one big advantage is that now all the attention is drawn towards the swatches. How do you feel about this layout? Keep it? Or you miss the old one?

Don't worry, it looks fine.
I know we can all get a little weary of using black as the background on a nail blog as there are already tons of nail blogs that use black. We all want our blogs to stand out and reflect our personalities, but it seems like black really does provide the least amount of distraction from the pictures.
And with photography skills as good as yours, you owe it to your photos to let them take center stage! :-)
Maybe you can reinstall the white background. But it just don't matter. It's fine this way :)

Good choice. I know what you mean as my blog has gone through a lot of *growth* as I try to find the right fit for it. This looks great :)
