MAC Bad Fairy... No dupe here! A comparison.

Dear Lacqueristas,

MAC Bad fairy is supposed to be dupe-ed by OPI The Show Must Go On. See for yourself:

No dupe to be found.

Personally, I don't see the dupe. The Show Must Go On is more vibrant toned and doesn't have the foil/glitter finish as Bad Fairy has going on. The duo chrome is 10x more evident on Bad Fairy, in TSMGO is kinda dies on the nail.
If anything, color wise Bad Fairy reminds me a little bit of Chanel Salsa (swatches here)

Duo chrome!!!

Mac's Bad Fairy is a pretty unique polish if it were to be released a year ago. Nowadays there's TONS of these glittery/foil/duo chrome polishes. The thing that does make Bad Fairy stand out is the color. In the pics it is a bit washed out but inreal life the color switches between a warm pink and a gold. I don't love it on my skintone but I'm sure it's awesome on warmer toned fingers.
I don't think Bad Fairy is available anywhere anymore, it was sold out in a flash. If you are lucky you could find one on Ebay.

Can you think of a polish to dupe Bad Fairy?

I saw on some other blog that I can't recall at the moment that OPI DS Perfection is a dead on dupe.

It might have been Scandalously Polished's blog. I was just going to comment here about it, I'm not sure if it was DS Perfection, but it was definitely an OPI and I definitely could not tell the difference in her swatches!

Do go check it out, I was so amazed, BF might actually have a REAL DUPE! :O

i own this polish(Bad Fairy), and think it's gorgeous. (because it's different than what i do own and i wanted the whole nail set :)
T.S.M.G.O is very pretty too. Completely different colors.
the OPI one seems to be just the color and Bad Fairy seems to have that glittery change.
matter of taste i suppose.

Ange from Scandalously Polished posted a comparison between OPI DS Perfection and Bad Fairy...they sure did look like dead on dupes to me.

I'm glad that The Show Must Go On isn't a dupe though, because now I can have both. muahaha.
But out of curiosity, which one do you like better?

You're reasoning sounds like something I could come up with as well. Like new math.

I like both but I have to say that the duo-chrome effect of Bad Fairy is more special to me and therefore I choose her to be my fave out of the two.
